Stay Ready In Style
About the Merchandise
Growing up playing basketball, I remember how exciting it was to rep my team—travel gear, matching shirts, and the pride of showing people who we played for. That feeling stuck with me.
When I created The Raspy Dispatcher, and later First Call Ready, I realized something was missing: it’s actually pretty hard to find merch that truly reflects the realities of being a dispatcher. The chaos, the teamwork, the dark humor, and the pride in the profession.
So we decided to create gear that 911 professionals can actually see themselves in—designs that feel authentic to the job and the people who do it every day.
When you purchase our merch, you’re doing more than just wearing a shirt. You’re showing pride in the profession and helping us continue the mission—traveling to conferences, connecting with dispatchers across the country, and creating affordable resources for both current and aspiring 911 professionals.
The Because Movement
It all started with a simple truth: the world needs more dispatchers.
That phrase began as the original slogan from The Raspy Dispatcher, and it’s just as relevant today as it was when it first started. Wearing this shirt is more than just repping a brand—it’s a walking advertisement for the profession. The profession that’s there for every emergency and every critical moment, yet is so often overlooked. It’s a small way to spark conversations, bring awareness, and remind people that behind every call for help, there’s a dispatcher making it happen.
First Call Ready Podcast Launch
Creating First Call Ready was a huge step outside my comfort zone. Because of that, I wanted the merch for our inaugural season to capture the reality of what dispatchers handle every single day—the chaos, the coordination, and the camaraderie that gets us through it.
So we created something that felt both fun and a little bit too real: two skeletons kicking back with a drink on the beach, surrounded by their teammates… and absolute chaos. Because if you know dispatch, you know that sometimes the only way to survive the madness is to laugh, lean on your team, and enjoy the moment when you can.
This design is unique to Season One of the podcast and will only be available during our inaugural run. It’s a little chaotic, a little relatable, and completely First Call Ready.
